The Academy for Youth Sports Administrators is a certification training program designed to raise the professionalism in the field of youth sports. It is a great networking opportunity to meet with other professionals in the youth sports field, as well as discuss solutions to everyday problems that arise while working in youth sports administration. Participants of the Academy for Youth Sports Administrators will identify important Insurance and Risk Management information, recognize useful skills on how to manage parents, volunteers and conflicts, and outline the importance of utilizing policies and procedures as the foundation of their program. They will discuss how to include children with disabilities in sports as the faculty recognizes the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The Academy held in conjunction with the Kentucky Recreation and Park Society will be at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, KY. The Academy will be held on Monday, November 14 from 1:30-5pm CT and Tuesday, November 15 from 8:30am to Noon CT.
